Optimized Video Decoding for Smooth, Real-Time Video Display
Video decoding issues are often encountered when using regular mobile devices like smartphones and tablets to view the live feed from a drone’s onboard camera. Users tend to experience video jitter and high latency (the measure of time between capture and display of each frame) due to certain limitations in software access, which can have a negative impact on the video decoding capabilities of the device.
The CrystalSky monitor has full compatibility with DJI apps and makes use of optimized video decoding for smooth and clear real-time footage with minimal latency. This decoder eliminates jitter, delay, and other issues often experienced during video transmission.
Secondary External Battery for Extended Power
With the combined power of its internal (980 mAh) and external (4920 mAh) batteries, the CrystalSky Ultra-Brightness monitor offers an impressive operating time of up to five hours, which is longer than the expected battery life of certain comparable devices. It is also capable of efficiently controlling its discharge rate even in extremely cold or heat. It has a wide range of operating temperatures, from -4°F (-20°C) to 104°F (40°C), to ensure reliable battery performance even in extreme temperatures.
Quick charge is also fully supported, and the batteries can be charged using the same flight battery chargers for compatible DJI drones.
Expandable Storage and 4K HDMI Output
The CrystalSky monitor has dual microSD card slots that serve to further extend storage capacity, and to enable quick and convenient video editing and sharing right on the monitor. Users will also be able to play videos saved on any microSD card directly on the device. It also supports 4K video decoding at H.264 and H.265, which can be played on the monitor at 30fps (H.264) and 60fps (H.265).
For those who want to view the live camera feed or stored 4K videos on other devices apart from the monitor, the CrystalSky is equipped with a 4K HDMI port that allows video output to FPV goggles, television or computer screens, and other display devices.
Custom-Designed Operating System
With its fully customized Android operating system, the CrystalSky Ultra ensures optimum functionality and performance. This specially designed OS eliminates irrelevant apps and services for a fast and efficient user experience, and is fully protected against viruses and other types of malware.
Aside from full support and compatibility with DJI GO, DJI GO 4, and DJI Pilot, the CrystalSky monitor’s operating system has an integrated DJI GO app, thus enabling full camera control, footage management, and aircraft control.
Compatible with Multiple DJI Products
The CrystalSky Ultra-Brightness monitor can be used with a wide variety of DJI drones, particularly those from the Phantom 3 (Advanced and Professional) series, Phantom 4 series, Matrice series, and the Inspire series. This monitor works with any of these DJI products over Wi-Fi or through a USB port found on the drone’s corresponding remote controller.
It can also be connected to the Cendence remote controller without a mounting bracket, but DJI recommends the use of an additional mounting bracket for other types of remote controllers.
