    The FLIR Touch HD Upgrade Kit is the closest thing to an integrated thermal imaging system for the DJI Inspire 2 and utilizes FLIR's Vue Pro thermal imaging camera.

    Samsung Tab A included with the Touch HD kit allows for dual-viewing of the thermal and optical feeds using the DJI Go App and VUIR HD app. Please note that it utilizes two separate feeds and is not a single application.

    Range for the HD downlink system for the Touch HD has been tested with a solid signal up to 500 meters (1640 ft) giving plenty of range for many different operations.

    PLEASE NOTE: Only compatible with Inspire 2 operating in 2.4GHz mode, and downward facing vision sensor must be turned off

Upgraded Flight Speed and Performance

The DJI Inspire 2’s improved recording functionality and exceptional flight capabilities make it the perfect tool for demanding cinematic productions and other drone operational needs. It is fully equipped with powerful sensors that ensure safe and accurate flights, even in difficult weather conditions and harsh environments.

With the assistance of the Inspire 2’s integrated FPV (First Person View) camera, the aircraft is able to optimize its advanced obstacle avoidance features using forward and downward vision systems, which are responsible for detecting potential obstacles within 30 meters ahead, and upward-facing infrared sensors, which monitor the space up to 16 feet above the aircraft for extra protection when flying indoors, bushy canopies, or shaded spaces. The same technology also helps the aircraft in making emergency landings without GPS connection.

Though years of drone knowledge, DJI was also able to integrate advanced drone flight capabilities like rapid flight acceleration to 50mph in just 4 seconds and a maximum flight speed of 58mph, which allow the Inspire 2 to capture and follow high-speed subjects for dramatic action and sports videos.

Powered Video and Imaging System with CineCore 2.0

The Inspire 2 relies on its new onboard image processing system, the CineCore 2.0, and micro four-thirds sensor in delivering high-resolution sharp images with eliminated noise and accurate colors. When matched with the separately available DJI Zenmuse X5S, it can capture cinema-grade videos in 100Mbps bitrate with 5.2K resolution at 30 frames per second. The 2-axis gimbal stabilizer helps the camera stay steady in order to capture best quality photos and videos even while flying at high speeds.

Intelligent Flight Modes

Spotlight Pro

The Inspire 2’s smart Spotlight Pro Mode makes use of visual-tracking algorithms to command the aircraft to lock onto any moving subject even if it means flying in complex directions. The pilot won’t have to worry about losing the subject at blind spots since the aircraft itself would automatically continue the rotation when the gimbal reaches its maximum rotation limit. The pilot can choose between two specific submodes:

Quick Mode - Pilot simply selects the subject to track to begin the tracking.
Composition Mode - Pilot selects the object and the tracking position, then then presses the shortcut to begin tracking once the subject reaches the preset tracking position.


In TapFly Mode, the aircraft’s FPV camera provides a separate flight view. The pilot can then choose and change the direction of the flight with just a few tap commands on the screen while in the FPV flight view. This gives the pilot freedom to focus on gimbal movement and camera shots.


Integrated into the Inspire 2 is the unique DJI ActiveTrack Mode, with which pilots can precisely track a range of objects, including animals and moving vehicles. It also allows the pilot to customize the aircraft’s tracking methods using different tracking profiles under this flight mode.

Return to Home

Using the aircraft’s forward and downward vision systems, the aircraft records and creates a real-time map of its current flight route. The pilot can then use the Return to Home Mode to ensure that the aircraft will automatically return to its point of origin using the devised map in case it loses its video transmission system signal. As it flies back, the aircraft uses its camera to point out obstacles up to 200 meters ahead and will revert back to flying along a straight line once it is able to reconnect to a signal.

Broadcast Mode

The Inspire 2 is capable of doing live broadcasts using the Broadcast Mode. By simply connecting the aircraft’s transmitter to a satellite truck, the aircraft can feed aerial live streams directly to televisions using its 1080i50 and 720p60 operation signal. This ensures not only real-time videos while flying but also good quality output for news reporting.
